SOURCE: hit test/reset button now won't turn back on???

Test, reset sounds like a GFCI. is the machine draing properly? Sometimes the fan will blow , splash water and cause a ground fault. It wouldn't hurt to check the outlut and the breaker controlling it. Just plug a lamp in and make sure there is power.
Good luck.

Why does the Windchaser Portable AC Model sa12059 beep when I plug it into outlet?

Most electronic devices have power to the main control board when the unit is plugged in regardless of the switch being on or off. If that is the case and no other issues exist, it is nothing to be concerned about.

How to get attachment for hose to back of a/c

If it's a major manufacturer of appliances you can use any parts supplier like, 1st Source Servall, All Appliance Parts, Marcone. If it's a off brand you have to go back to the manufacturer for there local supplier. Just Google the name and model number. Good luck

I have an SA12059 Windchaser portable a/c. After using it and rolling it around, the top condensate tank drips lots of water. I tried to drain the bottom tank via the hose, but the top tank doesn't seem...

There is not actually a top tank, just a drip tray with little drain holes that become easily clogged. After removing the rear cover of the unit and cleaning thoroughly, you can use a can of air (like the ones to dust pc's) wth the little straw attachment to try to clear te clogged drain holes in the tray below the evaporator. If your unit froze up condensate may have overflowed into the fan area. Let the unit defrost, and run it in fan mode for awhile to dry this moisture out.

Is there anyway to get manuals? there website has exceeded bandwidth?

Unfortunately, there's no way to to get any information at all on any Windchaser AC's. As the company is now out of business. Phones have been disconnected and the website is down. It has been this way for about 6 months. Ironically, there are some retailers who still have Windchaser units in stock and are selling them (with no mention of the company being out of business). I guess they feel they don't won't to have to eat the units they're stuck with.

I'm sorry. I wish I had better news for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have a faultly thermister on a Windchaser PACR10 portable air conditioner. They seem to be out of business and won't answer their phone. I need a new thermister set that is rated for this unit. No...

No doubt about it. They are out of business, the phone(s) have been disconnected and their website is down.I check several parts site I have dealt with and Windchaser is not a brand that is listed , that they have parts for. I am sure there are some interchangeable parts from other brands, but how to find it, without a part number is like looking for needle in a hay stack. Your best bet, would be to take the unit to a local small appliance repair shop that works on portable AC units. One look at the part and the would know what is a substitute for it.

Hope this helped you. If it's any conciliation, you're not the only one looking for parts for this brand. Amazingly, there are some units still on the market. Probably, the retailers know they're out of business, but can't afford to eat the units.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

NewAir AC 1400E. No green light on plug. Pushing reset button does nothing. Has been running OK. Outlet is live. Does not need draining. Any ideas?

If the reset button is not doing what it should. Try these solutions listed below::

Remove and replace the water collection bucket. Making sure the float valve (if your has one) inside the top of bucket is not stuck in the UP position. Also, be sure that the bucket fits squarely into the holder from top to bottom. If it doesn't, it won't trigger the buck removal safety switch.

If that didn't work do the following:

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet.
Wait 15 minutes, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON.

Generally, doing the above, allows the unit to reset and revert back to the original factory settings and you can proceed from there. If it still does not work, there may be a problem with the cord & reset switch. The best way to find out is test the continuity of the cord, with a multimeter.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I need a adaptor that will allow me to vent my Windchaser Pac9 Model SA12059 through a window. Do you know where I can find one?

Sadly this company seems to be out of business, parts unavailable. You can get a little creative and make the pieces you need from off the shelf parts at lowes. I used a plastic pumbing fitting, some vent hose, two small metal brackets, zip ties, and thick foil tape to seal it.
