Question about JVC GR-D290 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
It is possible to transfer video via usb however it requires a video capture program windows movie maker works apparently and the cyberlink software that comes with the camera will do it too. To do it stick the usb cable in and turn the slider switch to play with the lcd screen open. Then go into your video capture software and navigate thru to capture from video device. If you cannot capture with sound then you need the appropriate audio driver. The cyberlink program works best for video capture via usb as it already has the audio codecs.

Hi, You can only transfer still images (photos) with a USB cable. For video, you need a firewire card and cable. That's the way it works.
