sorry to say its busted, the cost of replacing the lcd will be more than the tv cost.

Plug in tv hear some clicks but nothing else

If more than one click----main power relay is turning on and then off.

Indicates a problem in main power supply---either the supply or something connected to it is pulling it down.

Suggests problem is on Secondary side of power supply.

The tubes are horizontal but require disassembling the cover and the inverter
board completelyfrom the chassis. There were 17 of these flourescent tubes stretching the ful length horizontally. They are so fragile.

You have crossed jacks somwhere in the back. Try another A/V connection. Move away from a connection ie AV1 to A/3 as an example. What happened is a common problem. It is very easy to cross paths!

Toshiba 46RV5354 replacement lcd screen

Best of luck finding a replacement screen. Typically the screen is what get damaged and finding an exact model with some other issue is your only hope, that and finding someone to ship it to you as in most cases it's only local pickup. I think you'll find a replacement lcd (new) cost is way more than buying a new set. Best of luck.

The speakers are partially muted thru the TV mode.

you mean with all tv channels too? there might be an attenuation setting somewhere that has to be de-activated. Check the manuals. hope this helps and pls come back for a feedback

There are several fuses on the power supply board.

Usually the one that fails is not the main AC line fuse (which is close to the AC line input), but the PFC fuse located, you guessed it, next to the PFC regulator IC on the board.

When the PFC fuse is blown (measuring open) you also need to replace the PFC IC and possibly other components on the board. Most of the time the PFC is sufficient though.
