First, check your outlet for power...plug something else in. Then, inspect the cord and check the power switch. You can use a multimeter to test across the power plug of the vacuum in the ohms position. Turn the switch off and on. If it does not change readings...the switch or cord is bad. If it does, it might be the motor.

How to remove clutch on dyson dc07

This service is hard to explain. Try googling it so you watch a video of how it is done. You can purchase belts and rebuild the clutch with the new belts or you can purchase a new clutch with belts already installed

Brush won't turn on dyson dc07

There was a belt that was to be attached to the motor shaft under the belt cover, be sure that it didn't pop off. the recommended fix is to replace the clutch, not the belts in the clutch. if you only replaced the belts it could still be a bad clutch.

Hi there,

DC07 models equipped with the brush control feature use a clutch which does not require replacement belts. If your DC07 is a model with brush control, recline the cleaner into the vacuuming position, and check that you have the brush control set to 'Carpets'. If the brushbar isn't rotating, please get in touch with us directly using the details provided below.

If your DC07 is a model without the brush control feature, you can find out how to replace the belt in our online guide:

For further assistance, please call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you to establish the cause of the issue, and will be able to recommend the best course of action.
