Display shows "=SE-", and do nothing

Afer power on, the display shows "88888" then "-SE-". Nothing working after that.

"SE" means = sensor error, try to dry it out with a hair dryer, if not working, you have to replace the sensor

SOURCE: The microwave display shows "--SE--" I have not

SE error indicates a short in the keypad assembly. This will mean the the control panel or smart board will need to be replace.

Microwaves are not good do-it-yourself projects. Microwaves are extremely dangerous to work on even while unplugged. Even unplugged some components retain a lethal amount of voltage.
