Recently i had my ac unit on in my car and i notice that there was smoke coming out not sure if it was white but it was coming out
Yes your not seeing things im ase certified in auto ac,ford, chevy honda, also. what is happening is fine dust from the ac evaporator ,inside the air tubes and sometimes fog and moisture all can come out you only need to worry if the system starts blowing out ice crystals or it gets worse then it will need to be looked at.

It sounds kind a like the problem I have right now, on my Focus Tdci. I have just been told from my mechanic that the Tdci have pre-heater (almost like a parking heater). If this has a defective gaskets then smoke will apear when it runs. Smoke will come from a small pipe under the car, and smell and smoke may come to the air ventilation in the car. I will often run when it is the car is too cold for the normal heater to do the job. This will often be in the fist minutes of driving.

Your heater core has developed a leak (of coolant). The smell is the "sweet" smell of ethylene glycol,
a component of engine coolant. The white smoke is steam coming from the heated coolant evaporating.
The coolant is dripping into your duct work under the dashboard, and apparently being evaporated
out of the ductwork and sent into the passenger compartment, meaning its a small leak.
When the leak gets worse, you may get wet carpet on the front passenger side.

It may dissipate only because it is cooking off faster after warmup.
You have a hose or radiator leak; check your coolant level often until you have it serviced.
I wouldn't use the stuff but there are several 'stopleak' products in auto parts stores.
Don't let it hang too long; if you run low on coolant, you are risking overheating and possibly a blown head gasket which you may already have anyhow.
The coolant leak can come from hoses, the radiator and the head gasket failed near a cooling channel.
Also check your oil and if it looks like Jergens (hand lotion), you already have a blown gasket; that comes from oil and water mixed together and makes a poor lubricant.

Could be your heater core leaking. Try some engine coolant "stop leak" in the radiator. Be sure to have the heat turned on when you do it, so the coolant and the rad stop will flow through the heater core for a while. I have the best luck with the stuff that is powdered aluminum . Pour it in your rad when it is low, and then fill to level. If that doesn't do it you may have to replace the heater core. Or, it could be just a hose leaking under the hood, and the fan is sucking it into the truck. Inspect all hoses and connections and gaskets closely .
It probably just drips until the coolant level get's low, and then steams forcing you to smell it.
