Hi Dolores, I understand that your cooktop will not turn on after receiving an error code "40". Usually this error code can indicate a communication error between the Induction Module, Relay Board, and Control Board. I would also recommend doing a hard reset by unplugging or turning the household power breaker off to the appliance for five to ten minutes. If the problem persists, please reach out to a professional technician. Hope this helps! -JK
I appreciate your post, friend!
Based off what you are describing your Electrolux cooktop is flashing error code "8". Normally, an "8" error code stands for key sensor for cook place 3. This means you could have a problem with your center board or left board. I would recommend performing a reset on your cooktop which can be done by flipping off the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. If the issue remains I would consult with a professional technician for diagnosis and repair on the cooktop. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt
Good Afternoon friend, I appreciate your inquiry!
Typically on an Electrolux induction cooktop the "E4" error code stands for key sensor for timer. Which means you could be experiencing an issue with the right board, center board, or left board. I would perform a reset on your cooktop and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes.
If that does not assist with clearing any false error codes or the error "E4" continues to display I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this helps. -Matt
Hello it07002 - You may try and reset the induction cook top by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to 30 seconds by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. This often clears most false error codes. If the error code does not clear, then the unit more than likely may be experiencing an issue with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and/or user interface board. This is not a typical do it yourself job; please consult a professional or your manufacturer.
