Joystick Key Mapper help needed?

A joystick key mapper is a software that allows you to customize the functionality of your joystick buttons and axes. It can be used to assign different actions or keyboard shortcuts to the buttons and axes of your joystick, allowing you to customize the controls of your games or other applications.
Here are the general steps to use a joystick key mapper:
  1. Download and install the key mapper software on your computer.
  2. Connect your joystick to your computer.
  3. Open the key mapper software and select your joystick from the list of devices.
  4. Assign different actions or keyboard shortcuts to the buttons and axes of your joystick. Some software may have pre-defined profiles, but you can usually create your own profile.
  5. Save your new configuration and test it by launching a game or other application that supports joystick input.
  6. If you are facing any issues, you can recalibrate your joystick.
There are many joystick key mapper software available, some popular software are Xpadder, JoyToKey, DS4Windows, Pinnacle Game Profiler, etc. You can choose the one that best suits your needs and is compatible with your computer and joystick.
It's important to note that not all games or applications support joystick input, so you may need to check if the software you want to use with your joystick is compatible with it.

Installation, and testing the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick

The joy stick comes with a CD. Put the CD on the tray, and let the computer runs the software. On the CD there are driver for the joy stick itself, and driver for the USB . click on install joystick, after that, click on install the USB drive. that is it. Then a test screen will appear and asks you to check your joystick movements and buttons .push on the buttons,on the joystick, and you will see that they turn red on the computer screen each time you push a button, meaning your computer reads the commands from the joystick, You are set.
If you do not have the CD, then go to the Logitech site. and go to support, and from there you can download the drivers for the joystick.

Pronto M94. Why doesn't the power button shut off?

The buttons on the joystick wear out on the bottom of the button. The bottom of the button has a conductive material that touches a circuit board. The buttons can be replaced. The buttons are all one big sticker than can be peeled off and a replacement stuck back on. Do not remove buttons until you get what Invacare calls a Joystick Overlay. Invacare will need to know the exact joystick to get you the correct Overlay.

My computer is unresponsive to the joystick; I plugged it into the usb port a message confirmed it was installed and ready for use but nothing happens when I move the joystick in a flight simulator or...

Hello, Here's the solution to your problem, you have to configure the games you're playing for the joystick to work, I believe all games have this option, ussualy in the "configure keyboard and mouse" options menu, click on any funcion you want your joystick to use for each button, and then press the button you want for that function, do that with all buttons of the joystick you want to use, some games need the joystick axis to be configured, just click on left/right and move your joystick in the desired direction, same procedure to up/down, if your joystick has a throttle wheel, do the same for it (if needed).
Procedure is simple and most games has small variants of this procedures I gave you, but they are simple to figure out.
Hope my solution helps, have a nice day :)

I own a Ch Products Combatstick 586 usb joystick. I also own FSX which is installed on a HP Pavilion Elite HPE 150t PC. How do I get the required control codes in FSX to link up with the buttons available...

Set all the buttons and controls up in FSX. Go to settings, controls and you will see your stick shown in there. Pick one of the tasks you want, press the button and it will assign that action to that button. Make sure you do this from the opening menu, not from within the game as this does not save it for next time.

When you have them all set, save the configuration file and give it a name you will remember. Forget the manager software. as long as you have the sticks driver installed the above will work

I recently purchased logitec extreme 3d pro joystick and a user manual did not come with it. How do I get one?

Did you purchase it open-box or second-hand? If so, you shouldn't be surprised at the lack of a manual. If you bought it new, it may not have come with one.

I personally have one of these joysticks, but I bought it so long ago that I can't remember if it came with a manual or not.

Either way, there really isn't much need for a manual for this joystick. It doesn't have any very advanced features that would require a manual. It's very simple to use:

  1. Plug it in to an open USB port on your computer.
  2. It should be automatically detected by your operating system. If not, you may have a defective joystick or a defective USB port. Try the joystick in another USB port. If the problem persists, check Logitech's website.
  3. In Windows, click Start->Control Panel->Game Controllers. You should see the joystick listed. Select it and click Properties.
  4. It should open a new window to the "Test" tab, where you can make sure all the buttons work. I suggest you click on the "Settings" tab at the top left.
  5. Click "Calibrate..." and follow the prompts. It'll ask you to keep the joystick centered and press a button on the joystick (use one of the side buttons such as 11 or 12 so that you don't inadvertently move the joystick from center).
  6. Then it'll ask you to move the joystick in complete circles. Do this several times and advance to the next step.
  7. It'll ask you to move the throttle slider up and down. Do this several times and advance to the next step.
  8. It'll ask you to set the "Z-rotation," which is the left/right twist of the handle. Do this several times.
  9. It'll ask you to center it and press a button. See step 5 above.
Now the joystick should be calibrated and ready for use. If you have multiple game controllers, you may want to click the "Advanced" tab back in the Game Controllers window and make sure the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is selected as the preferred device.

Now start whatever game you want to use it with. You'll probably have to configure what you want the buttons on your joystick to do within the game; follow the instructions that came with the game.

Pretty simple, and like I said, there are no advanced macro functions or anything like that for this joystick.

Some buttons don't work

Pioneer AVIC-D1 Touch Screen Recalibration

If your pioneer AVIC car navigation unit does not register your touches or the wrong button is “pressed”, you need to re-calibrate your screen’s digitizer.

1-Hold the Eject button down until the face of the unit drops all the way
2-Using a pen hold down the reset button (just above the joystick) and the navigation disc eject simultaneously.
3-Release the reset button.
4-Release the dvd eject button next. The display will read “press reset”
5-Push the joystick up two times.
6-Push the joystick down twice.
7-Press the joystick in.
8-The service menu will appear after a short pause. You can navigate the service menu using the joystick.
9-Chose the first menu option and press in on the joystick.
10-Trace the screen with a stylus.
11-"P.ADJ" is the back button
12-Chose the second menu item in order to calibrate the touch screen. Use a stylus again and tap the "+" sign on the screen. (You may have to touch slightly off center if the digitizer is damaged. In which case things will still be off but it will be much better.)

New JVC Everio MG 130

Hi, to set the time or date, first press the MENU button (beside the DIRECT DVD button). Nudge the joystick to the left to select which settings you want to edit. Then go up until you reach the general options. Nudge the joystick right. Move the joystick up until you see "CLOCK ADJUST". Here you can set the correct time. The light is really easy to access. In the shooting mode (where you are seeing live video from the lense), nudge the joystick down. The light should come on. Nudge it down again to put it on Auto. It will turn on/off depending on the lighting. Nudge it down a third time to turn it off. Hope this helps!
