Hi im after dropping my mp3 player on gravel and every time i turn it on it pauses at the creative logo and i have to take out the battery to turn it off please help me i need it to work before sunday
Try this: take the battery out, hold the on/off switch to the left and keep it, then put the battery back in and THEN release the switch...with some luck, if its harddisk survived the drop, you will be able to get into the system-menu and reset it... or: let the battery in and hold the switch to the left for some more time..

Firmware is on the ram, have you tried another usb port? another computer? and another usb cord. I know mine i have to use my laptop since my pc wont see it. if those don't work you might have a broke usb connection or cord.
You could try reflashing the firmware onto the player. Go to www.creative.com and look for the support section. Search under downloads for firmware for your player and download that. Follow the instructions on the website.
What size Zen Neeon do you have? The 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB models are Flash based and dropping them should do much damage unless you really smashed it up. However, the 5GB and 6GB models are hard drive based and dropping them from any height can be extremely damaging (especially if the hard drive was reading/writing when you dropped it). Basically, it's dependent on that to know how to continue with your issue.
