Candy CIV60 front loading tumber dryer - I set the timer to the required length but when I press the start button a buzzer goes off and it does not start, If i keep pressing
the start button and move the timer dial at the same time eventually the buzzer stops and the dryer starts. I believe the buzzer is supposed to operate at some time during the cycle to indicate something, maybe nearing end of cycle, I do not know whether it is the timer assembly, the relay pcb or start switch which is faulty

dear customer,
most of the time the timers of dryers aren't faulty even though the dryer doesn't run properly in timmed mode. dryer timers have small motors on the back. The motor rotates gears and cams that open and close switch contacts that control the loads in your dryer. A load is something that does work like a motor, heater, light bulb or end of the cycle buzzer. When the timer is manufactured the amount of time each set of contacts will be closed is built in by the timer cams and gears.so i recommend yu to check the follwoing
hi i too had that problem, when an engineer looked at it the thermostat, element were ok,he suggested that there was a blockage in the air flow,i took the whole thing apart ( i had nothing to lose ) cleaned it with a hoover very carefully then with a clean dry paintbrush, there is vents underneath the dryer if these get blocked the dryer blows cold air, its a saftey measure so that the fluff dosent catch fire ! i hope this helps, mine has run ok for 3 months now.
