I was trying to print when the printer status window popped up and said 'Operator Error. Please press resume button or turn off then on' (well something like that anyway). I tried both and it still doesn't work. I unplugged from computer, turned it on. Still flashed amber. Lifted cartridge lever on top of cartridges. Took all cartridges out then put each one back in. All except one made the printer flash amber. The cartridges that made it flash were refills and the other was brand new. I thought that was the problem, but I had lever up the whole time. Once I put new cartridge in, then put lever down, the printer flashes amber. Please help or I'll just chuck the stupid thing. Thank you
Firstly most printers need to be told when you have re installed cartridges as they think they are still there from the fault. Go to your printer and faxes menu and select your printer and delete any pending print jobs. Next go to add/remove programmes and delete the printer software driver and disconnect printer from both pc and the mains for about minutes. Re install driver and reconnect printer to pc when prompted by driver or when it is fully installed, prefferably in a different usb port than previous and go through the set up as normall. if the same problem occurs, the printer must be faulty and require a repair or replacement.

i want to smash this computer
Changed 2 of the cartridges and the printer doesn't recognise them, amber light flashing. Replaced with different ones and the problem still exists.
