Question about Power Acoustik PTID8400 Car DVD Player

Hai Im new here recently i just took out my player Power acoustik PTID8400.... when i install it back nothing happen... the power is on but the monitor refuse to come out... how to fix this problem... anyway have anyone got instruction manual for PTID 8400... thank for the help

Where can i buy a wire harness that will fit a 95 tahoe?
Wire harness can be purchased at many locations. I would start out at Bestbuy, CarToys, Walmart, or even auto parts stores. Cheapest place to start might be ebay.

Hello,my indash dvd player will not play,it says (cannot watch movies while driving) even though we,re not driving
i believe if you dont have the parking brake hooked up on your unit, you wont be able to watch any thing. check around online or your local audio dealer bout buying a bypass relay so you can drive and watch if you choose to. or hook that wire up right. hope this was helpfull

Is there a code to overide the brake setup
just wire the pink to the black ground wire to override it. problem solved

hi this is a safety feature built into the system when the handbrake is released you will not be able to watch a dvd while driving, if this has been fitted professionally they would have done this...hope this helps

I've been having a problem with my power acoustik PTID-8001N unit. When I put a cd in it gives an error disc. What can i do to correct this problem?

Lost detachable face for my dvd indash unit
call the maker of the unit for parts ordering info, that is the only way you can get this part.

Play while driving
in the USA that is ilegal but if you wanted some of my colleagues put the parking cable of the stereo to ground.Good luck

Amp light is neither green or red
have u connectted the remote wire from head unit to turn amp on? have u got + and - the rite way round.hope this of use.

Power acoustik dvd player wont play cds and went crazy 'm having big issues with my touch screen dvd player that i bought. I was driving and the cd stopped playing like it was scratched, but the screen went all static like vertically. It froze and turning if off was the only way to get it to return to normal. Then after about a minute it did the same thing, only this time the screen did the static like horizontally. Now the background of my player only shows black, and putting it in dvd player mode makes it freeze. It will not release the cd inside the player at all. Hitting the tiny reset button doesn't help, i've hit it many times. Before this happened yesterday, i was having other problems with the player, such as it resetting itself randomly. I would start my car and all the channels would be back to default and my settings not programed. I do not know off the top of my head what the model number is and i don't have the box that it came in. This player isn't even 4 months old. Please help me out with this.
