Thing under glass cracked

• The glass tray had a hairline crack or stress fracture that was not visible
• It got a little too hot in one area
• The expansion from the heat caused the fracture to expand and therefore crack and break

An accidental bumping of the microwave plate on the countertop while going from the microwave to the dishwasher might set up the above situation. The spoon your seven year old left in the mac and cheese might have arced and nicked a small piece of the glass. Whatever the cause, microwave trays break and they break for a lot of reasons.

All foods cooked in the microwave produce heat. Microwaves themselves are not hot, but the foods cooked in a microwave get hot - some much hotter than others.
Even though most microwave glass trays are tempered, they are not designed to hold up under high temperatures. You will see most microwave trays stamped with the words "For microwave oven use only" This is to let us know that it's probably not a good idea to use the trays in a conventional oven.
Any air pockets, cracks or gaps in the glass can enlarge under heat. Since glass isn't very receptive to being stretched, breakage can occur.

into... Is it 'hot'? Plug in a known working Table
Lamp. If you have power, the problem is the unit.
Where the cord goes into the unit, locate the Power
Supply. Carefully check for any cracked, blackened,
or broken components. My educated guess is that
a small fuse blew, as did the Metal Oxide Varristor,
which is either a large blue or red disc shaped component
near the power transformer. If the fuse is blown black
inside the glass, this indicates a short, and would require
an Ohm Meter to locate it. If the fuse is blown so that
the element inside just melted open inside the glass,
this indicates an overloaded condition, and would require
that the fuse be replaced with a rating 1/4 amp greater
than the original fuse. Why? because most fuses are
under rated to insure that they will need service to keep
people like me from starving! Trust me on this one.

My touch screen didn't last being in my pocket, the LCD is fine but the touch screen layer over it was cracked in multiple places. I've returned it to samsung but I'm not sure whether they will cover it under warranty. For a pocket camera not survive being in your pocket is pretty poor. Would definitely not recommend buying one to anyone.

The LCD screen needs to be replaced by an authorized repair service.

warranty voided, had the same thing with my at&t samsung rugby, is supposed to be tough and able to withstand water temp and some shock. I guess it doesnt take much to crack these lcd screens. I've been trying to rationalize how mine cracked, maybe i had it in my pocket and leaned against a sharp counter or table top - I just dont know?

Abuse, not a defect. You pay. Cheaper to buy one ("recertified") for $9 + tax free shipping from buy.com. Get another pair of earbuds that way too.

its a tedious process to clean the the glass in ur phone..u cud get it replaced for just 1.99$ in the market....i highly recommend u contact ur sevice centre

Once the plasma has been cracked. Thats a bad thing. Plasma by definition. is an evelope of gas in glass. The panel can be replaced but that ussally expensive and not covered under warrenty

I had this problem with mine, i sent it to sony and they replaced the screen under warranty, but it has since happened again, as the player was out of warranty (and paying to have it replaced would cost £75) i decided to have a go, and inside, the screen is cracked, its the internal glass panel, not the outer plastic one thats craked.
