That is a sign of a possible power problem it may be fixed by exchanging the powersupply or some other iternal panel the best way to troubleshoot this is by getting a service manual if your inclined electronically. basically voltage checks and identified fualty circut or board
this happens with lcd and plasma panels the circut may go bad and loss the proper voltage capacities and it cuases the tv to go into a safety circut like this.
have it serviced or check by a qualified lcd and plasma shop they may have the parts you need for it.

goodluck hope this helps.

Hi, My Olevia 42 inch, model342-B11, has a problem with its picture. At first I had vertical lines running down the screen, then it turned into small squares. What do you think is wrong with it?

Parts are hard or impossible to find for this brand but it sounds like the "main" board which processes all signal in and out of the display.

Picture rasterization

It sounds like the LCD controller board problem, usually if you cool it down the problem will go away, and comes back when it heats up again.

Screen wont cut on but audio works

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

42" TV has sound but no pictures

yea it sounds like a main-board or inverter board.. sounds like the panel of the television is loosing power and you are still getting sound..

Olevia did go out of buss.. but i know this 3rd party repair center called Amergence technology is offering to repair Olevia's. But the thing is that the whole television will have to get service they don't sell parts so you might want to give them a call and get an idea on the repair quote.. 866-965-3842

Olevia lt 27 hv no sound

one way to test the audio on the tv is to connected a cable line or ant.. and see if audio comes out on the speakers of the television.. if they don't then go on the menu under audio and make sure the speakers are not turn off..

If you get audio with the ant or cable channels.. then the television speakers are on.. now you might want to try the sat receiver with different connections an example will be AV cables.. yellow, red and white.. to see if that works ? make sure the red and white are right next to the yellow input or else you wont get audio..

If you will like more help.. you could also contact this company called Amergence Technology they have trained technicians that have knowledge for Olevia products.. there number is 866-965-3842

42 inch olevia

If you're sending an HD signal to the tv use either 1:1 or Aspect viewing modes.
If you're sending an SD signal you'll not be able to get a full screen view unless you use zooming.
