My camera won't recharge either. Battery recharging light flashes continuously in red, does not go solid red then green when charged as per manual. Tried replacing battery but problem persists. Cannot turn camera on even with wall power thru this recharger. Have not been able to find a source to replace the SAC-41 battery charger, but evidently there is a kit SLB-1137BKit that contains: battery, SAC-41, and power cord - but who sells it?

Thanks - kinda hate to part with this if it's an easy fix - teenage daughter loves the camera for point & shoot pics of friends.

Sorry for the trouble you are having. It seems the camera is functioning somewhat with ac cord hooked on. You want to make sure you can take picture with power cord consistently without fail. I worry because you mentioned multiple problems for the camera and it is not good sign that camera is good for the reliability. You may want to borrow a backup camera from a friend just in case. If all symtoms you've decribed is correct, camera need full repair by a technician and maybe beyond economical.

Fuji FinePix Z2 Digital Camera

lens retracts fully into the body and is protected by an automatic metal cover - no more lost or dangling lens caps.
The F410 Zoom makes use of the new xD-Picture Card media that is smaller than a postage stamp. Fuji supplies a 16MB card and they are available now up to 256MB. The F410 is powered by a small proprietary lithium rechargeable battery. This battery pack performed well in our use and if the color LCD is used sparingly, I see no problem with the battery delivering enough power for a conservative day's use. As with any camera that uses a proprietary battery pack, it is always a good idea to purchase and carry a charged spare at all times. The included power supply / charger is an auto switch type and operates on 100-240V AC which is convenient when traveling. It charges the battery in 3 hours (or less) while in the camera and also functions as an AC power supply for extended use at home. The battery is also charged any time the camera is placed in the optional camera dock.

My brand new camera will not turn on. Help?

Pleaseremove the Battery from the camera and give a look inside the batterycompartment. Use a spot light & make sure that place are clean, not rusted& the battery connector pin are not bend or broken. Use dry clean cotton orsoft cloth for cleaning the connector part. After that insert the fully chargedbattery and try to turn on. If its not turn on then its confirm the camerainternal power supply unit is faulty. For few reason this problem started.1. Theconnectivity cable from camera to Circuit board damaged or disconnected.OR2. Thepower supply transformer stop working & need to replacement.OR3. turnon button connection may disconnected.

After visual checking by the technician is possible to say which part isfaulty.
For the confirmation you need to visit a camera repair store. Withoutvisual survey technician can't confirm you which one of them is faulty. As you said its your brand new camera so best solution is ask for replacement for the camera. Thankyou.

My camera dosen't turn on

If your camera won't turn on, first of all try to charge your batteries until it's fully charged. If this doesn't solve your problems, check if your battery pack is busted by using your power supply to turn your camera on. If using a power supply solves your problem then consider replacing the battery of your digital camera.

My battery is fully charged but when i turn the camera on it shuts right back off

SOunds like your battery is bad. try discharing it :
  1. Place the battery in your camera until it itself turns off. In this situation, the battery is fully discharged.
  2. Take out your battery and slide it into your battery charger.
  3. Connect your charger with power to fully charge the battery. It is normal for a new battery that battery indicator shows 100% capacity in 10 to 15 minutes. Please keep charging until there is no time left for charging.
  4. Fully charged and fully discharged or "cycled" as much as five times to condition them into performing at full capacity.
Try it and see if it works? If the batteries are not rechargeable then the problem is in the cameras power supply and you need to take it in or replace it.

Camera will power-up only when connected to DC

This from Sony website:

To ensure the proper operation of the battery, please do as follows after charging the battery.
(1) When charging by connecting the AC adaptor directly to the camera Pleasedisconnect DC IN from the camera after charging is completed. Also, itis recommended to remove the battery from the camera when charging iscompleted as the battery is discharged slightly even if the camera isturned off.
(2) When charging with the supplied USB cradle Ifthe camera is installed in the USB cradle, please leave the power cordconnected to the outlet (when using the power strip, please leave itsswitch to on).If you want to unplug the power cord (or switch off thepower strip) after the battery has been charged using the USB cradle, please remove the camera from the USB cradle. Also, it is recommendedto remove the battery from the camera when charging is completed as thebattery is discharged slightly even if the camera is turned off.
NOTE: When you charge the battery by connecting the AC adaptor directly tothe camera or using the USB cradle, do not leave it with the power corddisconnected from the outlet.

Should it not work, continue with the manual reset procedure below:
  1. Turn off the camera.
  2. Ensure the camera is not connected to an AC power adapter.
  3. Remove the battery from the camera for 15 seconds.
  4. Reinsert the battery.
  5. Turn on the camera.
NOTE: If the issue is not resolved by performing a reset procedure, service may be required .

I have to set the date each time I turn on my Nikon S9 camera even when the battery is fully charged

Read the manual to determine my power supply is supposed to re-charge the watch and date power supply. Since this isn't happening and I don't have a recently purchased battery for it, I'll buy a new camera battery to see if it corrects the problem. If it doesn't correct the problem, the internal power supply that runs the date and time feature (2 days without the camera battery in the camera) will have to be replaced.

Vivicam 8400

I have a ViviCam 8400 and have the same problem UNLESS I buy Duracell Power Pix or Energizer Titanium batteries. These cost more than the regular grade AA batteries, but when I used brand new regular batteries, the camera would turn on for 2 seconds then turn right off. Titanium or Power Pix batteries make the camera work fine. And, because they are made for digital media, they do allow you to use the camera for longer periods of time.
