Question about Lexmark X75 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I just changed the black ink cartridge and when a print comes out it printed out to the right side for some reason and is not centered. Sometimes the printer makes a noise and the printer stops with an error message appearing on the computer monitor screen. I've tried reloading the paper but the printer still sometimes stops after the printing cycle is just beginning. The color cartridge is about still half full. What do you think the problem is?
Lexmark suggests this fix, which is what mine needed. The encoder strip was not routed properly through the cartridge carrier:

Have you run print head alignment? or To clean the cartridge carrier contacts on the printer, do the following: 1. Power off the printer and remove it from the mains supply. 2. Open the printer lid so that you have access to the cartridges. 3. Pull gently on the ribbon cable connected to the carrier until the carrier is accessible. 4. Remove the cartridges. 5. Using a dry, clean cloth, wipe the contacts of the carrier gently from top to bottom. 6. Repeat Step 5 on the second carrier slot (where applicable). 7. Reinsert the cartridges and close the lid. 8. Reconnect the printer to the mains supply and turn on the printer again. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
