    I have the same problem. Just picked up a new dell laptop with windows vista, and it won't take my setup driver cd for my lemark p6250 printer.

Lexmark says it the driver will be available to download from their site on April 30th 2007

Select you operating system from the dropdown list and then download the drivers. Install them using the default settings and you're good to go.

Lexmark won't work with vista
First, Vista has it's own drivers and will assign it's own to your printer when you plug it in. This method will not work with many external devices. Completely disconnect the printer. Then install the lexmark driver. A window will pop up saying that the software being loaded is not approved by windows. Click install anyway. The software will instruct you when it is ok to connect the printer. You may have to go into the printer and faxes (control panel) and delete the current default printer.

Couldn't install lexmark 8300 printer software on my window vista driver computer
Follow this link to the official Lexmark website and download the driver.
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

If you can't follow that link, go to www.lexmark.com. On the top menu, there is a link called "Drivers and Downloads". Click it and select your series, then your OS system, and there you go.

The drivers for Vista are finally updated.

I had the same problem for about a year... now it works fine.

Yes works with Vista but you will need to use Vista driver not XP
