Question about Reddy R60A Utility Heater

My Reddy Heater runs a little then shuts off

The heater is a Reddy 60K BTU HSI Model # R60. I run K1 Kersosene. The was bought new and I've had it for about 6 yrs. I run it in my wood shop a very dusty invironment. I have never done any maintenance so I know I'm over due, but I don't have a clue as to how to go about this job. I don't know if there are any manuals on the market that can walk you though tuning up this heater, sure would like to have one. Thanks for any help you can provide.

This unit to my knowledge doesn't have a thermostat.

Before I went replacing anything, I'd open the right access (looking from the front)panel. Pull the black feed hose off of the nipple on the the filter assembly. Carefully remove the filter barrel, which will be sticking down in the kerosene tank drawing the fuel out.With a flat tip screwdriver, rotate the plastic piece on the bottom of this assembly. Mine is red and looks like a little plug with a screen filter, shaped like a funnel. It has a friction fit so it will not be threaded. Pull this out and see if the fliter has dirt or debris in it. Blow it out with compressed air or wash it with a solvent. Replace the filter and reassemble, plug it in and turn it on. 98% of my early shut down or fuel issues are resolved by doing this. Doesn't take much to restrict fuel flow in these heaters enough to shut them down. Good luck.

It sounds like you need to replace the thermostat in the unit! ( avery common problem in this model!

Reddy-Heater will start then run about 10 seconds then stop.

The heater has a photocell that has to see the correct flame or it will cause the heater to turn the unit off.
I would suggest checking the the pump pressure and the output filter to make sure you are getting the correct amount of pump pressure to the nozzle.

My kersosene forced air heater fires and runs for about 10 minutes and then the fire goes out it just blows smoke and fumes. What is the problem.

Cant get fuel to spray for my R60 Reddy Heater, air pump seems to be working ,igniter lighting , new photo eye , all hoses seem fine.

Desa Reddy 110BT H.S.I Series, igniter goes out before heater will light, fan comes on, igniter comes on, fan runs a few seconds, igniter goes out, unit shuts off. Unit is full of fuel, put on new igniter...

flame sensor clean with steel wool usually right next to hsi should fix.

When filled with kerosene then plugged in, the heater will kick on for about 3 seconds and the fan will run but it will not ignite, then it shuts off. reddy heater 55, 55000btu. runs on K1 or fuel oil.

Reddy Heater 60,000 Model R60 only runs with top off.

Sounds lik the vent hole in the filler cap is plugged. Try cleaning it or replace the cap.

Please answer the following questions. There are several folks on the board that can help but we need to know some vital information so we can get started. Answer these, if you can:

Which Pro 110 do you have. We need the exact model number. Pro 110 is a series of heaters.
Does the heater have a spark plug or a glowbar (HSI)?
When the motor runs is it pumping fuel?
When the motor runs is the spark plug firing (or glowbar glowing)?
