The nail fell through the middle row of small holes and was dug into something. I tried pulling it out and it broke off below the tub. The washer was at the end of final drain cycle and there was lots of smoke. I tried a brief spin to remove water in the pipes and everything seems to be working but the tub thumps with nothing in it. The tub rotates easily by hand and moves side to side and front to back smoothly.
With some manufactures yes. If you can get to the area from under the tub drill some small holes through the flooring and use a stop collar on the drill bit so you don't drill into the tub the put some expanding foam in the holes so it fills the area between the tub bottom and the floor to give the tub bottom some support.
The tub should have been set in cement mortar to prevent this from happening but that
