Tub thumps after nail wedges through small hole bottom and stops tub

The nail fell through the middle row of small holes and was dug into something. I tried pulling it out and it broke off below the tub. The washer was at the end of final drain cycle and there was lots of smoke. I tried a brief spin to remove water in the pipes and everything seems to be working but the tub thumps with nothing in it. The tub rotates easily by hand and moves side to side and front to back smoothly.

found a chunk of belt missing, probably the thump.Still don't know what to do about the nail wedged in the outer tub

You could have an unbalanced tub or the piece is rotating around in the outer tub and making the noise. Contact a professional to have the machine taken apart if the noise continues.

I don't think the tub could become unbalanced by the wieght of half a finish nail

Hello, my washer is approx. 5 years old, it has always been very noisie and a repair man said this was normal. My husband complains every time I use it. Now this morning I'm hearing what sounds like screws...

You may have something like screws or nail or something that was in some ones pocket or just fell into the tub . You may have to take the agitator out to get it out unless you can get something under it to get it out. This is pretty common I've seen nails get in a hole & wear a hole in the drum , then you have a leaking drum. Not sure but sounds like this may be your problem. Hope this helps good luck

Is any displayport have in Intel D865GBF Motherboard

Yes

It has a VGA port for a VGA monitor. The port is BLUE in color, NOT PURPLE.

This is an example of a VGA Cable, and a VGA connector,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

Note the number of socket holes, and the arrangement of the socket holes.

There are 5 socket holes across the Top row.
There are 5 socket holes across the Middle row.
There are 5 socket holes across the Bottom row.

The Purple connector with 5 socket holes across the Top row, and 4 socket holes across the Bottom row, is NOT it.
Not the VGA connector.

You can connect a CRT type of monitor, (Looks like a small TV), or a flat LCD screen monitor, IF it has a VGA cable.

[ There is also an adapter that you can plug a flat LCD screen monitor into, and the other side of the adapter plugs into the VGA port, on the back of your computer.

This is if the flat LCD screen monitor has a DVI cable,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

DVI to VGA adapter,

1) http://www.directron.com/dvitovga.html

2) http://www.directron.com/dviadapter.html

Look at the pins on the adapters. Now look at your monitor cable, and the VGA port on the computer. Make sure which adapter you need ]

There is a spot almost in the middle of the tub that is softer than the area around it. I am very concerned that there is water damage that we are unaware of. Are soft spots common?

With some manufactures yes. If you can get to the area from under the tub drill some small holes through the flooring and use a stop collar on the drill bit so you don't drill into the tub the put some expanding foam in the holes so it fills the area between the tub bottom and the floor to give the tub bottom some support.

The tub should have been set in cement mortar to prevent this from happening but that

I have a Whirlpool duet sport front-loading washer that is about 4 years old that is now making a squeaking/ticking or slight scraping sound when the tub turns. Even when I turn the tub when empty I can...

before calling any repair man,
take a flashlight and carefully inspect tthe inner tub
on a few service calls with this particular complaint
ive found small nails, taks, penny nails, screws, what have you that fell into one of the holes and got stuck
barring that , i would get your bearrings checked yes
at four years you should still be inside your part warrenty if it needs to be replaced

Pins that center tub on my kenmore washer fell out into small cups that look as though they were made to catch them. the pins look like nails with holes drilled near the point. the holes i asume are for...

The pins may just be shipping pins that are designed to break and fall into white plastic holders when the washer is installed.

See the Sears parts site for your washer at:

to determine if these are the parts.

Maytag model LAT9604AAE; in regurlar cycle stopped

You should be able to rotate the trans pulley in either direction one way is agitate the other is spin,if the trans turns ok try turning the pump.
If the trans will not turn in one direction, check the holes in the inner tub to make sure there is nothing dropped through any of the holes(nails, screws, bobby pins)
If the pump won't turn look for similar things stuck inside it,bail or pump the water out before removing hoses..

Water leaks out of bottom of washer

The screw in the washer tub, is not a factor in this. I'm not sure what brand of machine you have, but several machines have a fill hose that connects to the outer tub of the machine. Sometimes when a machine gets loaded heavily, during the spin cycle items in the machine can actually knock the fill hose right out of the tub. Then when the machine trys to fill the next time, all the water runs down the outside of the tub and leaks out of the bottom of the machine.
Repair is to open up the machine. You'll need to remove the top cover and that will give you access to the hose/tub connection. It may be as simple as reinserting the hose back into the drum or you may need to replace it if it got too damaged and won't stay in the hole correctly.
If you need specific how to's on opening up the machine, get back to us with the make and model info and we'll be happy to help you open that washer up!

The washer tub leak

Sounds like you have a hole in the outside of the tub sometimes something in a pocket like a nail or something will wear a hole in it. If that's the case it can be fixed but is tough one to fix. You will most likely have to remove the tub there is a kit to fix this with. You will have to drill the hole a little larger to fit a bolt. I have made them, take two rubber washers one for each side of the hole and two large metal washers one for each side over the rubber washers ,a bolt to fit the hole you had to drill in the tub tighten it down pretty tight so it won't leak. Put the nut side of the bolt on the outside of the tub so it don't hang on anything.
Check & see where the water is running down before doing this, be sure it has a leak or you will spend a lot of time & work for nothing. Hope this helps

Smoking washer

once you get the front panel off check the drain pump while your in there right now get a flashlight and look very closely at the holes in the tub for something like a nail or screwhead or something small enough to have slipped down in one of the holes of the inner tub and be jamming it now when you check the drin pump be warned there will be water still in the pump and tub so put down a bunch of towels
