Wasting paper ever since I changed my ink cartridges, the printer prints out a test sheet evertime I turn on my printer. How do I make it stop? I have tried taking out the cartridges to reset it but that doesn't work. Anything els I could do?

Try unplugging the printer from the electrical source for several minutes. Unhook the printer from the computer and reboot a few times. Turn off the computer, replug the printer and turn on the printer then the computer. That should clear it. Also try printer properties and select align print heads. Let me know what happens. Paper does not feed.

If paper is not installed, load it and then press the <Black> or <Color> button. When paper is installed, check each of the following items and try printing again.

3. Confirm the maximum number of sheets in the auto sheet feeder is within the paper limit mark.
4. Clean the paper feed roller to resolve the error.

Remove the jammed paper.
If paper jams frequently occur, check the following:

1. Confirm there is no foreign material inside the machine.
2. Confirm only recommended paper is installed.
3. Confirm paper is installed properly.

An ink cartridge is empty.
To cancel printing, press the <Stop/Reset> button.
To continue printing, press <Black> or <Color> button.
After printing completes, replace the empty ink cartridge.
Printing with an empty ink cartridge may cause the machine to malfunction.

The ink cartridge(s) is not installed. / The ink cartridge(s) cannot be recognized.

The ink cartridge may not be installed properly, or an unsupported ink cartridge may be installed.
Install a recommended ink cartridge.

What mean error code pixma printer mp 145 ( E 8) ?

1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the on/off lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in orange and green, starting with orange.)note: press 4 times for waste ink counter reset.

U053 error code,tried removing and replacing cartridges, but code still present,cartridges are compatible as come with printer.

Printing with an empty ink cartridge may cause printer malfunction. U051 / U052

When an error has occurred in the printer, the error / check message is displayed on the LCD.
Take the appropriate action to return to the normal condition.

Printer won't stop printing alignment sheet, following changing of ink cart.

my printer only printed 1 page out of 3 so now it wont stop. it pulls the paper in and comes out blank. this will keep going unless i turn it off. how do i reset my printer?
