Sreen is black

When you turn on my ps3 on the screen is black and you cant hear anything

It's probably a problem with the connection of the PS to your tv. If the connection setup is right, and you still get no sound or colour, connect the PS3 to the TV using the standard-def A/V cable provided in the packaging and press and hold on the power button for about 3 seconds when you start up the console. After that, you can change the display settings to an HD connection and connect the PS3 to the tv using an HD cable. (That is if you want it in HD)

Did you recently change televisions? If so with the PS3 off hold down the power button and keep it hold down until you hear some beeps and the console eventually powers back off. This will reset the video output settings. If you have not changed anything television wise, ensure all cables are connected correctly, if you have another video cable HDMI? you could try I would advise that as well.

Ok, you are actually holding the power button down for too long. Please do the following to sort out the display on your PS3.

Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Press and hold the power button. It will beep once when you first press it, then beep again about 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear the second beep. The display will now reset and it should detect your HDMI display with no problem.

Try a video reset:

While the PS3 is off (solid red led) hold down the power button until you hear the SECOND beep, quickly release.

replace the phone, that is symptomatic of a phone that has a compression crack, (sat down it was in the pocket, shut too tight, etc) There is no repair, but if you have the insurance it is covered as damage.

ok take out the hdmi cord and make sure its not dusty or anything then put it back in and when turning on your ps3 HOLD the on button for 5 secinds you will hear an extra 2 beeps and you will get a screen saying a hdmi device is connected blah blah blah just set it up to hdmi again and see if it worked
