35mm Minolta camera has shudder issues

I have a minolta 35mm camera film version. The problem is when I take pictures, sometimes the shudder gets stuck in the open position and takes a few seconds to minutes to close. I cant find a repair shop in my area, can this be fixed???

Depending on what model Minolta this is. Goggle camera repairing and see whats out there for your model camera. Some have a focal plane shutter which is worth repairing. The rest are not worth it. Focal plane shutters are made of rubberized cloth

How can i get it to take pictures

It sounds like the film sensor has gone bad. You can check and see if any local repair shops still service these, as most don't due to lack of parts.

How to click picture through sd card

The Konica Minolta Maxxum 5xi QD is a 35mm film camera and does not use an SD card. If you want your photos taken on an SD card, you will need to get a digital SLR.

Hope that helps,

Where do you insert a sim card into a minolta maxxum 5 camera

Cameras, especially film cameras, do not use "SIM" cards. There were some models of Minolta film cameras that used exposure cards for auto-settings but only cellular phones and devices with cellular interfaces (iPads) use SIM cards. Here's a copy of the Maxxum 5 manual if that helps.

I just put in a new roll of film and I took 3 pictures and then the screen at the top said "ERR" and the film retracted itself....what happened?!

Hi, On Minolta's ERR means that the film hasn't been loaded in the camera properly so you'll want to reload the film.

All pictures have black at top of picture

the shutter assembly is not fully open when shooting. Maybe the motor driving is possibly weak already. You have to bring it to the service center, if the price is not right, better buy a digital camera compatible with your minolta lenses. ( films are getting obsolete fast, but the lenses are not)

Auto rewind going crazy

clean the contact terminals inside the film compartment. Your camera has an abnormal autorewind switch detection.
