The manual says that's normal: "A small amount of clean water around the outlet on the tub bottom at the back of the tub keeps the water seal lubricated."

Diswasher water isn't draining?

It is most likely the drain pump. If the drain pump passes a tech's test ok, have the drain passage checked for clogs.

I have a water-softener dispenser in my Danby 1899 W Portable diswasher. I do not know how to fill the dispenser and I cannot run the dishwasher until this is resolved. The user manual provides no...

I couldn't find it either for a long time:

1) Pull out the bottom rack as if you were putting dishes there
2) Look at the bottom of the dishwasher and there will be a white circle (near the upper left side) where you can add the water softener.

I didn't use any for a while and the dishwasher worked great so I'm not sure why you can't run it.

How do i take the casing off a dishwasher model # aac24001. thinking a build up of calcium and water will not completely drain.

Most access starts at the back - with the exception of the front kick-panel which may be a push fit from the front.

Unplug and disconnect, then drag it out to a suitable work area (fair bit of water stays in the bottom)
Remove hose assembly - and clean out in hot water and strong detergents.
Run diswasher cleaner though machine when back again. Most problems are with hose.

My GE Adora dishwasher is not cleaning well and the detergent isn't completely disolving. What could be the problem?

Mine has been doing the same thing for about 2 months now.. I tried Finnish brand diswasher cleaner, but to no avail. Try this:

1) Empty your dishwasher, then take out the lower rack.

2) Start a regular cycle. Wait until you hear the jets turning, then open the door. Make sure there is enough water in the bottom - It should be just UNDER the heating element.

3) If your dishwasher is getting enough water, Reset your washer and allow it to drain.

4) Go to the store and get a gallon jug of white vinegar. Start your dishwasher on a regular cycle.

5) Once you hear the jets turning, Open the door and add FOUR CUPS (liquid measure) of white vinegar to the water in the bottom. Let the wash cycle complete.

6) When the wash cycle drains, the rinse cycle will fill. Once the rinse cycle starts, add ANOTHER FOUR CUPS of white vinegar to the first rinse cycle.

7) Allow the first rinse cycle to drain. Let the second rinse cycle complete normally.

I know this sounds too good to be true, but it REALLY DID work for me, this evening as a matter of fact! I also bought some hard water/soap film detergent additive from the store. It was kind of expensive, but I'm using it for a while just in case.

I hope this helps. Like I said, I couldnt believe it when my dishes came out clear again! Also, I turned OFF the heated dry cycle, and just opened the door and pulled out the racks when it was done.

Good Luck!

Standing water in dishwasher

This is because you have a problem with the diswasher pump and/or pump motor. There should NO water standing at end of cycle.

Dishwasher stops mid cycle

Hi,

Do the foll. things:

1)Check if there is water on the bottom pan. Remove the panel down on the backside of the machine and look. If it's water there, wipe it well up with a towel or so. 2)if ur dishwasher doesn't starts then: First, check the usual suspects: Make sure the circuit breaker isn’t tripped and that the wires at dishwasher’s power junction box aren’t burnt. If all that checks out, then go right to the control panel area.
Asko dishwashers have had problems with the wiring in the control panel area burning or melting– very messy. While your problem may not be as dramatic as that, the problem may still be visible. You may find burnt or discolored wire terminals or the spades on the start button switch may be burnt– anything burnt or discolored has to be replaced. You can buy any replacement parts you need right here.

Goodluck,
Dont forget to rate me as fixya..

KENMORE DISHWASHER WATER DOESN'T SPRAY.

If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely
replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device
with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two
wires attached to it.

Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor."
Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills
the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised
position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
