Is there a modem (cable or verizon) connected to your router; if so you might need to turn off your modem, wireless router and computer for five minutes. Then turn on the modem, wait 5 minutes, turn on the wireless router wait 5 minutes, and then boot your computer. Also, make sure your computer's network card is set to DHCP, which automatically assigns your computer an ip address from the wireless router.

This happened to me when I had to install a wireless router in my house using my laptop to initialize the network for the first time.
The start up software messed with my settings for wireless detection on my laptop. It turned off the automatic detect for wireless networks in the
"Wireless Zero Configuration"
(This has the settings for the 802.11 wireless adapters
i.e. the one that comes with the R4000 presario)

to get to this hit start>run...
and type in this:

go to "Wireless Zero Configuration" and enable automatic startup
, if the service is stopped, start it.
hit the apply button to save your settings.
