MP3 screen frozen and won't turn off

You did not say what model YP-T10 you have ...so I sent you to the first page for the YP-T10 JAB mp3 player.

Hi, not a solution but that is exactly what is happening to my T10 as well. It just started working this way yesterday and I don't know how to fix it. When I want to change a song, I have to slide the power switch so that I'm nearly turning it off to change a song. As well as that, I can see the 'lock' symbol on my screen even when I don't put my T10 on hold. Someone please help?

1. You need to have Windows Media Player 10 or Higher.
2. have the software installed, if you do not have it, you can get it here.

hardware problem or the battery couldve died on you (literally)

on the back...push th reset button...easy..

Hi I have had this problem.Look on the back of the player and look for a reset hole. When you find it (its somewhere near the bottom of the player) get a needle.Yes a needle.And put it into the reset hole AND HOLD IT FOR 5 SECS. It should now be fixed.

try firmware upgrade

Turn on your T10, click any song and touch the third button on the top row (button that is a box with two lines in the middle). then move down to play speed. Then make sure it is on 1.0. :D

Look in Prog Files/Samsung/Samsung Media Studio/temp2/firmware - the cab file contains the upgrade files. Copy then across to the T10.

Unplug the T10 and switch back on, it should update the firmware. Switch it back on each time it switches off until the update is complete.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
