To start with your tv will never work with your adoption as the company who made that set did not connect that part of circuit to the tv that circuit you found is a dummy what they call a plan blue print.and instead manufactured the tv a diffrent way.

Remote control not working even though I have inserted new batteries

Hello, Desmond -

If you have owned the remote control for a while (years), the pads under the control keys used most often may be worn out. We had to have our remote controls replaced. They were the remote controls provided by our TV cable service. I telephoned the service number for our cable company and told the customer service representative the problem and he arranged for replacement remote controls to be delivered to us at no added cost.

Bottom line: You probably have to obtain a replacement remote control. Without knowing if the remote control came with your TV or if it is from a cable or satellite TV service, I can't direct you regarding obtaining a replacement remote control.

Lost soniq tv remote what app can i download on my samsung pad

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites.

Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Mute button wont go off on my Hisence 42 inch tv and I have no sound

Check the remote control first. If it is found OK, the fault is with the main system control section circuit of the TV. Contact any service technician.
Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing each button on it at a time; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. I cant setup my sanyo still on factory mode

Factory mode? sounds wrong!
you might be stuck on "demo" mode! that's not a "factory"! someone pushed "demo" on remote control or at the set. there are few things to get this out: 1. locate "demo" button on remote control, 2. look for the same at the tv's touch pads. 3. have to push combination of buttons on remote or the set, Reffer to owners manual.
good luck.

How do i find out which number i need to use to program a remote for my tv?

Each remote has its own codes so you need the code book which is often part of the instruction book for that remote. The book will also tell you how to set the remote for accepting codes. The codes are generally a series of numbers and each tv manufacturer may have multiple codes listed to try. If you do not have the codes and cannot find on the sharp websight or any other online source then I would suggest calling sharp and telling them the remote you have and Make and model of your TV and they should be able to give you the code list for the TV. If your remote is older than it may not have the codes for your TV.

I nned the manual for my rca universal remote

I found the instruction book in PDF file here: http://remotes.com/store/codes_original.html

I can program it for my VCR but for some reason I can not get it to accept my TV. When I follow the instruction for the TV, the red light flashes. When I set it up for my VCR, it does not flash and I found the correct code doing it manually (not using the auto code search).

Let me know if you get it to work for the TV codes.

On / off

I suggest you to take out the remote control batteries to discard that as the problem.

Try working the TV without remote controller to see all the functions working and if everything works ok without the remote then you may have a broken remote controller.

As I can conclude with your pretty small description, you may have some remote buttons stuck and maybe humidity or plain fluids into the remote controller circuits causing false button activations in buttons like the ON/OFF, or PIP, or RECALL.

You can try open the remote and clean any dirt and humidity inside, specially taking care of the rubber buttons pad and its black touch pads behind each button. also the circuit board and the golden/black threads where the pads touch the board.

Also if you note a broken battery, clean any battery fluids inside the remote as these liquids are very corrosive for the circuits.

Good Luck...

TIVO Remote

Your tv doesn't accept the code. The tivo remote uses the code that is programmed in it to control your tv. Go through settings and tell it you want to program your remote for your tv and follow the on screen instructions.
