Question about Fuji FinePix S5100 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Finepix S5100 Up until recently my digital camera (Finepix S5100) has been taking fantastic pictures but recently, for some unkown reason, all my pictures are blurred - even stationery ones! I have possibly inadvertently pressed a button. When getting ready to take a picture the hand comes up on the screen indicating 'hand shake' and I don't seem to be able to remove this. I have tried to change the shutter speed but if I change it on the 'S' setting, it wont remain when I change back to the 'sport' setting. Any help anybody can offer would be much appreciated. Most of my photography is showjumping so it is a moving sport. Thanks a million.

This sounds like a similiar problem I had. I brought it into my camera store and a young clerk put my settings back to the original factory settings in moments and it works beautifully again.

Card Not initialized

you just need to format the memory card again, go to the set up menu and format. you will loose any pictures that you may have on but it will work again. you can download a manual for your camera, the fuji finepix s5100 at the following link and following the steps to format the memory card on page 76. here is the link: http://www.rug.nl/rechten/voorzieningen/audiovisueledienst/productendiensten/handleidingen/finepix_s5500_manual.pdf

Will not take pics

It's elementary, but I want to mention to make sure you have a memory card in the camera. The camera will not turn on without a memory card.

I've done it myself several times and it scared the **** out of me, until I realized I had left the card out. One time I had to walk about a quarter-mile back to my card to get one after I had done this.
