  • hammiepfc Dec 29, 2008

our few12 has now flooded the conservatory twice, we cannot find the filter. The engineer called when we were at work and sorted it out first time, saying "the filter is at the back" got the machine out, still can't find it??

I have just taken mine apart because it wouldn't drain or spin. Found the filter under the kick plate at the front to the right. No screws for kick plate as it just pulls off. Filter just unscrews. Very wet floor though lol. Cotton wool bud was blocking blade like fan in back of filter recess. Works perfectly now..

Its either behind the kick plate or in the pipe which runs from drum to pump at the drum end.

Streaky dirty washing

try running some cleaner through the machine on a hot 60-90 degree wash cycle with no clothes in. It may take a few goes to remove the build up of soapscum from the inner drum of the appliance

Wd440 not drying. how does the fluff get emptied?

Because it is a washer dryer, there is no fluff filter to clean.
It is self cleaning, because the fluff is washed away by cold water entering the condenser and flushing the fluff away.

Hotpoint dryer CTD00

Remove the lint filter at the front bottom left of dryer, and run water through it to clean all the fluff out. Clean the other filter, and make sure the air vents air clear.
Before you replace the bottom filter reach inside the opening and remove any build up of fluff and gunge that you can ,get a plastic bag tie or similar and feel for and poke clear a small hole that is located there.
I f it still does not work, then the element and or stats are probably faulty.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Empty water light staying on machine will not work

Probably sticking float switch
Remove lower bottom left filter completely run water thro it to clean all fluff out reach inside and clear any build up of fluff that you can see or feel.
At the back of this aperture is a small hole that gets clogged up,feel for it and poke a plastic bag tie or similar, and poke it clear, if this does not work then it would probably involve a strip down to access the float chamber and switch assy.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Not draining and flooding my kitchen!

hiya
first off norah, you will need to check the pump filter as there is probably a blockage in there.

secondly guest, sounds like a faulty pressure switch or even a small hole in the pressure pipe, thats why your machine will not stop filling.

hope these help

please dont forget to rate the helpfulness of this reply thanks kj
