Was just curious where I might be able to purchase a new motherboard for the mitsubishi WS-65819 TV. A mouse decided to make the inside of the TV it's new home and fried itself onto the motherboard (the pcb board that connects the input/outputs). So I'm assuming its only the motherbard that got zapped... wasn't sure what to test, never really troubleshooted a HD TV (or a tv for that matter). ANy suggestions would help. Please email me at [email protected] THanks, Chad S.
Just replacing the board if its the main board is half of the repair. The memory IC which is usually located on the main board holds all the data for convergence, picture geometry, channel memory, color settings etc..So getting it to run is only half of the battle. Got to http://www.partstore.com and look for the main board. I couldn't however look it up because it says your model number is invalid.

The memory IC will be already on the new board. The problem lies in the fact that without being able to power up the old board, you cannot retrieve the data that is on that memory IC and transfer it to the new IC. That makes repairs alot simpler in these days of sometimes 100 plus adjustments in the set that are stored on the IC.

Thanks... I will look into it.
is the memory IC something you usually purchase in addition to the mainboard or is it something you have to troubleshoot once the new board is installed?
Thanks again,
Chad
what do you recommend... as far as trying to retreive that info from the memory IC?
Thanks again for all your help
Was stll wondering if you could tell me how you retrieve the info on the Memory IC if you can't turn on the system, I'm assuming you can't, but could I get the info from somewhere else... (ie. a working TV of this model? or the manufacture?)
Thanks,
Chad
