Question about Fuji FinePix A330 Digital Camera
This is a common problem among digital cameras and this occurs because of mechanic failure in the lens mechanism. Most often due to shocks occured to the lens mechanism but this may just came out from nowhere. The zoom error message indicates that the lens servomotor can't focus the lens properly due to a decalibrated lens mechanism. It will require service intervention because they must dissasemble the camera to realign the lents mechanism. This can be done only with specialised tools. I've tried this at home with some cameras but without luck. I'd recomand you to go to a service center to have it fixed. This problem can involve a simple lents realigment or the changing of the whole lens assembly. It depends of the gravity of the situation and if the lents servomotors got damaged beyound repair. Sorry for I can't give you a more specific hint.

You have damaged lens barrel mech. Within the lens barrel, there are couple of tiny plastic gears and any damage to one of those gear will cause this kind of problem. I'm not sure it would be worth repairing the problem because of the cost of repair around $100. Good luck.
