Question about HP PhotoSmart 1115 InkJet Printer

Printer with Vista

Is it possible to use my HP 1115 Photosmart with the Vista program that came with this new Dell 521? My disc was only designed to go up to XP. Is there any upgrade that I can use?

My mistake - this printer is not supported yet, and no current plans are in place for upgrading the driver by hp - maybe someone else will do it in the future.

My windows 98 printer set up wizard can't find the drivers for the 1115. Is there a compatible printer that I can select from the wizard search files?

this is because ur computer is too old and printer is new.. it does not match up the requirements.. see the printers manual for the requirements.
there might be written that os: win xp, vista, 2000 etc..

Photosmart 1115 will not connect with a USB port

Was the printer new? Try it in another pc to make sure it's all right. Then try another usb cable. When you attach the cable, the pc should recognize when the printer is on.

My photosmart 1115 lost it's connection to my computer so we uninstalled and cannot find it listed as an option to re-install. I have the disk but it is giving me problems too.

delete it from your program files and reinstall

HP Photosmart 8250 noncompatible with Windows Vista program

first download the software/drivers for the printer from the link below.

second sign in as administrator or your account may have those privledges already. during the install if there is a spot make sure that the printer is available to all users.

any other issues or it's still not working please leave a comment here ... i'll sort it out or someone more knowledgable then myself will.

One thing you may know off hand but might not have been asked. Is that a 64 bit operating system by chance... also designated as x64.

You need to install a generic version of the printer, like Photosmart generic, on devices, no suppor program for vista, call support .
until new vista driver arrive.

HP Printer /scanner problem

Are you running a space cleanup utility? HP unhelpfully uses the .tmp extension for live files, ensure you're not deleting them. I got "Scan.msi not found" and had to reinstall my AIO software every time until I told WinOptimiser to stop deleting .tmp files (except in the genuine TEMP folders).
