Question about Yamaha RX-V773

Open Question

I just got the new Yamaha RX-V773 receiver and AirPlay works ok, but using my iPad, or iPhone, or Windows IE explorer even the Yamaha remote control to rewind or forward buttons does not work to go to

Voulume controls and all other controls to manage/control the Yamaha RX-V773 works ok. But for some reason the FWD and REV buttons do not work when using the Yamaha remote control application on my iPad, iTouch, iPhone, even using the web control center runniing on Windows Internet Explorer. The STOP, PAUSE and PLAY buttons work ok on all the devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, even web Windows IE). I have the same problem even using the remote control that came with the receiver. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Yamaha receiver will not connect to Airplay

I have the same problem, it seems the airplay connection is easily lost, it never plays for longer than an hour without itunes losing the receiver, then i have to reset the receiver so that it appears in itunes again, very annoying. I spoke to Yamaha and they are not aware of any issues but clearly there is one. A quick workaround is to bring the receiver up in a browser by typing in its IP address, go to IP Address tab and simply apply without changing anything, this causes the receiver to initialize its network function as you will see the amp resetting and it will then appear in iTunes. This doesn't work through the units setup without changing settings and then changing them back again. Hopefully this is just a glitch that will Yamaha will fix in the next firmware update, I am running 1.14 update.

Yamaha remote for RX A830 not working

It is new and within the period of warranty. Contact the manufacturer and either have them run you through the process of repair or send it back for factory adjustment.
Don't void the warranty by messing with it yourself.
