Question about Zanussi 24 in. DE6744 Free-Standing Dishwasher

Humming noise Hello..Hoping you can help me.I have just moved house and just got round to putting my dishwasher in new home.It has been standing idle for about 3mths and was working fine in old house.I connected up all correctly and started a cycle. The unit took water(I heard it going in)then made just made a humming noise for a while then stopped.I had 2 flashing lights..Dry light and cycle light. From the manual this represents an error code.Blockage or drain problem.I checked out drain hose etc...Anyway I tried again but the unit is making a humming noise then the lights again. I could also smell a burning smell. This to me indicates pump/motor..What do you think?Do these units have just a pump/motor which does the spaying and draining? Would appeciate your expert help in this..Thankyou regards Marc Dunn

Humming is the motor powered up but not turning. burning smell is the motor overheating. cause may be the motor capacitor which is a cheap part. try replecing it and hope thge motor survived. could also be a foreign object in the pump impellor

Dishwasher humming noise during wash. washes good but humming noise all during wash

humming can be the motors or the rubber supports are lose happens as the devices get older, if its annoying you just need to go round re tightening the screws and bolts so they tight again. can also be that the washer is not level and use will drop it down and need releverling and screwing the screws down tight.

Goodman model CLJ30-1D humming but not cooling? Help it's 9pm and 100 degrees outside

Hello, so both the fan and compressor were not running? Sound like the capacitor is bad, usually when the temp gets that hot the capacitor overheats and goes bad. The capacitor is located in the outdoor unit inside the control panel, it looks like a round or oval can with wires connected to it.

Hello,
Sounds like the water is either off or a flood safe hose is being used. The valve is energized and water is not flowing in, that is what the humming noise is.

check the center of the impeller, it should be flat on one side round on three, the impeller might be rounded out from the shaft it sits on. You might just need a new impeller. Good Luck, N let me know Thanks. jimmy

There is a humming sound coming from the front end of my 1999 oldmobile alero. Only happens when the car is moving. I dont hear itat idle or even when pushing the gas at idle. could it be my transmission...

Hello! If the humming noise is speed related(gets louder as vehicle speed increases)check front wheel bearings. If the noise goes away when turning one way or the other then it will most likely be in the front wheel bearing. If you turn the wheel(while moving)to the right and the noise goes away it is on the right side. If you turn the wheel to the left and the noise goes away its on the left side. Hope this information helps!

Dishwasher not moving past sensing cycle

humming noise sounds like a solenoid is not snapping in, this is not something that the average or even above average homeowner can fix. Solenoids go bad, they are a moving part that are activated by electricity, can be dangerous to mess with as water and electricity don't mix. Get a repairman or get a new one.

Hello wayne180764,
If the wash arm ( impeller ) is free to move, then chance are the motor that dirves it isbound up or defective. IT may be trying to spin ( the humming noise) but unable to ( for whatever reason).. and then shuts down from overtemp or overcurrent sensors on motor.. If you want to diagnose the parts further..please use this link which includes some additional information
