If you can't load only the NEW games that require higher Firmware versions, then you need to update Prometheus. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that here. Just google it.

Wha should I do if my playstaion 2 freezes during the loading process? It freezes in the same spot everytime, no matter what the game.

there are several thing that could be wrong with it

-the lens could be really dirty try opening it up and cleaning the lens(kinda hard to open if it is the slim version)

-something internal could be wrong with it. something could be broken or out of place.

-if all else fails just send it in to get fixed

-if that dosent work buy a new one

I have a sony PSP(regular not slim version)in which I was playing with memorystickas well UMD games. Suddenly I cannot play UMD games. What is the reason?

You are going to have to get a new mem card, or delete everything on your mem card and put make on, even though you might have a lot of progression in your games you have to restart

Which multitap do I buy?

There were two versions of the multi-tap made; one for the original fat PS2 and a smaller version made for the slim. The two versions are incompatible with the other PS2. If you have the original multi-tap connected to the slim, it should throw out the 'controller disconnected' message when you boot up. The slim version of the multi-tap should have a sticker on the bottom saying 'only works with models SCPH-70000, SCPH-75001, SCPH-75002'.

Other than the sports games, I don't recall any titles that allow more than two players anyway.
