Mixer works on one speed only; selector dial turns freely w/no resistance. Tried to pry dial off of unit, but extremely tight - did not want to break same. Could find no type of fastener holding dial to mixer - should I continue forcing it until it comes free? Any suggestions appriciated!
Do not try to pry it off. You will break it. Open the mixer by taking the screw out of the switch on top and the front will come off. Your problem is the pot on the board. I can't seem to find any parts for this board

SInce there are no fasteners looks like the dial has lost its "grip" . Will come off if you force it . You can fix back replacement or the same one with some skilful application of araldite or a similar epoxy resin
