Panasonic DVC 7

I have 4 DVC 7s that I use in my classroom. Recently I have had 2 of them display the folowing problem: They seem to record just fine but on play back the LCD shows the camera setting and controls on the screen and appears to resond to rewind and fast forward. But, the LCD remains blue. It doesn't appear to be reading the tape. I have tried different tapes and tapes that I am certain have good content ....no luck still blue. I have also tried the reset button on the camera. Again no luck. Any ideas will be appreciated. Rick

Clean the heads with a Panasonic MiniDV cleaning tape. I've seen many cameras come through our shop with this problem - a quick cleaning made a world of difference.

Welcome to Fixya,
What is the model of your dazzle device? Is taht DVC 100? if ever please check this procedure.

Step 1: Install the Pinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Platinum software and make sure it works with the Dazzle DVC 100. Sometimes this is easy, other times, this is a very difficult task. step 2: Buy 3 RCA type Y cables. One male end, 2 female ends.
Step 3: Plug the male ends of the RCA y-connectors to the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 4: Plug the Yellow, Red and White RCA connectors from the XBox 360 to the color matched female RCA y-connectors on the Dazzle DVC 100.
Step 5: Plug a second triple RCA connector into the other end of the color matched RCA Y Connectors.
Step 6: Plug the other end of the triple RCA connector into the TV.
Step 7: The tricky part no one ever mentions: On the XBox 360 video cable, there is a switch that switches from HDTV to TV. You must switch this to TV!

We have a Panasonic DMR-EH50 DVD player/recorder. We recently moved house and following the move, the FUNCTIONS button on the remote no longer works. Everything else on the remote does. I've tried...

The message displayed means that the remote control and unit are not communicating and the remote needs to be programmed. To program the remote, press and hold the same number that is displaying on the unit and the [ENTER] or [OK] button for more than 2 seconds. For example, if the unit displays “SET 2”, press and hold [2] and [ENTER] or [OK] for more than 2 seconds.

Camcoder (Panasonic PV-GS15) does not play back recording

Sorry to say- but it is trashed.. It would cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new one.

DVC recorder

The physical tapes are the same size, but the encoding on the tapes are different. Unless the panasonic recorder can play DVcam, you're out of luck.
