I have tried dvd's, cd's and games and it still won't even pick it up in My Computer
Do You have any bootable(like Operating CD, Linux Live CD etc) CD or DVD... You can try booting from CD or DVD.to boot from CD you need to restart computer enter to your BIOS an dchange your first boot device to CD or DVD.
If those CD or DVD are booting then there is no problem with your Drive, it can be becuase of windows.
now if still you have same problem then try to get one DVD Lance cleaner and try cleaning your Drive's Lance.

Go to device manager and look for the dvd/cd on the list. Click on the "+" sign and you may have a yellow, red or black symbol. right-click on the device and reinstall the driver. That should get it working again. If not then try the troubleshooting in the device manager, same place you reinstall the driver. Follow the instructions. If none of that works then it needs to be replaced.

On te back side of your laptop you will see a sign on a screw like cd , unscrew this screw and pull the cddrive.
