Jensen JCR160 digital clock running slow Tried JCR160 with 120v to 220v convertor in India found the clock looses 5 secs for every min. Tried replacing 110volt input transformer with different 230v input transformer found no change. Tried rewinding the primary side of the original transformer without disturbing the secondary winding & the voltage output still no change. Any solution available ?....
There is an option to choose 50 Hz or 60 Hz in main IC. Open the radio clock and see the number of IC. Download datashee of that IC and see for selection of 50/60 Hz. You have to just short the desired pin.

The clock works off the frequency (hertz). In US the electrical wave frequency is 60HZ/sec and in India and many other countries 50HZ/sec. Hence, the clock slows down about 6 seconds or so every minute.
