Need help assembling

I was given a Kenmore gas grill #16225 2 years ago for a wedding present and since have been out of the country. When I opened it, there was no manual. Besides ordering another manual, can anyone tell me or help find out how to assemble it. Sears.com doesn't have anything that I could find. Thanks!

Go to www.sears.com and there's a link to a website that you can download the manual from.

I have the same Kenmore grill that I purchased about 3 years ago. If you obtain a manual you will find that it assembles very easily with well illustrated details and instructions. All the pieces are illustarted and there is even a parts card with numbered items for easy identification. I would suggest 2 people to assemble since the main body is quite large. They even supply you with a small hand screwdriver and claim that is all the tools will you need. But since it is so small I would suggest a simple phillips screwdriver (cross-slotted #2). As far as the manual, I would go directly to your nearest store and ask to be supplied with one, simply by the fact that yours was missing. Explain your situation. Even ask to talk to a manager. You may find that the Outdoor Living manager may have one of these manuals still filed away in a desk. If not they will have to order one for you. But please be confident! This is a very nice grill. You will be pleased with your results if you choose to assemble it yourself. If not, get someone older (I wouldn't suggest a 12-year old) pay them $40 to assemble. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours to assemble. The hardest part is unpacking and unwrapping the parts. They do a thorough job of that to protect the pieces! If you live in the greater Portland, Oregon area I would be glad to help you! Michael

Sorry no luck with a manual either, but here is a review - this guy might be worth getting in touch with: http://bbq.about.com/od/gasgrillreviews/gr/aapr052306a.htm Other alternative is to borrow a 12 year old boy and let him get on with it. Sears are about as much help as leprosy - please complain to their customer "service" people in the hope that they might improve. Hope this helps, the review is not too encouraging i'm afraid :) Good luck

I have a Vermont Casting VM450SSP Grill that needs a new Hose Regulator-S/B Valve Assembly. I have ordered two separate times what "Appliance Factory Parts" thinks is the part I need and both...

This ma=y be a case of changes in parts for your VC Grill. The ownership of Vermont Castings changed 6 years ago, when Majestic Fireplace, who was then the owner went bankrupt and Monesson Hearth products bought VC in the bankruptcy. Shortly there after, Monesson made some sweeping changes to the grill line (your model was discontinued) and really up graded what Majestic Fireplace had done with that line of grills. Overall, they started building a better quality grill.

Unless you have a piped in high pressure propane gas system, the one that Appliance Factory Parts furnished you should work fine (based on what I saw on their website). In addition, if you purchased your grill, prior to the change in 20lb LP Gas Grill Tanks Valves, 6 years ago. Some manufacturers changed their grill hoses to conform with the new OPD Valve grill tanks. It wasn't required, they just did it, to avoid regulators locking up, when the tank valve is opened to fast.

Hope this helped answer and solve the problem for you. Happy Grilling!!

Replaced the tank but now gas wont flow from tank through to the grill... [email protected]

Hopefully this will fix you up.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
Your grill should now heat normally

Grill lights but goes out after a few seconds. Flame is very low

clear the spider web out of the tube between the burner and the gas jet.

have fun at your BBQ.

Flame height is very low when burners are on high and grill temperatuture does not excede 400 degrees

It is most likely the regulator especially if all the burners are at the same height. This is a common problem. If you grill is under a year old go into sears and they should be able to replace it for free. (the regulator is the round metal piece that conects to your propane tank.

Kenmore Master Flame Grill

Hello,
Burner will not light:
Here is a couple things you can check:

1. Gas injector not insert in venturi tube.
2. Clogged gas injector
3. Obstruction in gas line.
4.Spider webs in venturi tubes.
5. Misalignment Of collector box and burner.
6.Dead Battery.
7.Check hose to make sure it is not kinked
8.Check Hose to make sure it wasn't chewed by squirrles
9. If it is LP gas, Could be out of gas.

Other Issues:
Could be the way the grill was turned on and off, that also can be an issues. In your manual it will tell you how to do it proper, this could make it not light or have a low flame. If there is not hing in your manual, I will be happy to assist you.
