Horizontal lines from dvd player on tv

I have a dvd karaoke player and when i set it up i get horizontal lines going up and down how can i fix this this tv is not like the old tv's when you had a dial. i still get a picture just not good from lines

Connect the dvd to another tv if it gives the same problem,change the video connecting wires.

Power ON DVD, horizontal lines running on the TV screen. How do I get the horizontal lines to stop running and for me to view the screen to possible reset the DVD player.

Check video plugin to see if connect good on both tv and dvd player. You might try unplugging and re plug. If that doesn't help you might try another plug wire not sure if you have rca or HDMI plugs.

There are two problems occurs on your TV, one is the line down the screen because of faulty horizontal deflection or faulty horizontal yoke winding. 2nd is...color of the screen are not balanced, check the RGB transistors in CRT board circuit.

I have a tv that has line going side to side

The line is horizontal but means no vertical deflection (set deflects picture from middle to top and bottom.

Either bad solder connections at vertical output chip or a bad part somewhere in that circuit.

Jumping horizontal lines when connected to CD player

Hello, I want you to do a test first. Take you TV and connect a DVD player to it and see if this problem occurs. I bet you it wont, because the problem is not with the TV nor the CD of the karaoke machine. The problem is with the sync pulses of the signal from the karaoky, and the inability of the Tv to sync-up with those signals. What I would use is a video stabilizer between the TV and the DVD player. If the TV still has the problem with the DVD player I would then check the TV for a vertical section problem. you need a male to male VGA lead to connect your laptop to a tv, make sure that the tv supports pc first, if not most DVD players supports karaoke

The problem is not with your tv it's with your dvd player. You have to go into the setup on the dvd player and change your output setting to component.
