Why does my 98 lincoln continental sputter in park and drive?

If you have checked plugs as you have and fuel
is good, you have not put diesel in it.Then it could be
worn points, base plate which points sit on could be
loose or broken. The cap could need a clean on the
parts where rotor arm strikes, cap could be cracked
usually short between the points on cap in the way of
a line going round.Or it could be the coil giving gaps in
out put.Cheapest way, distributor cap ,rotor arm and points,
then base plate under points. You say pump o.k, have you changed filters in fuel line,if blocked could cause your problem.

I have a 3316 mahandra tractor the bucket or back hoe wont move I checked the hydraulic hoses they r fine I checked the filter it's full but the hydraulic pump ain't getting oil to it need help

You may have something stopping up the hydraulic supply line. You may have to bleed the air out of the cylinders. they often have bleeders in the end of the cylinders, if not crack the supply hoses loose and bleed air from them. Also loosen the pressure line side of the pump and bleed out air. The pumps should start pushing fluid out, crack the pressure lines while running. Also check that the vent cap is functioning properly. If it is not venting it can build up a vacuum that will starve the pump of oil.

My Maytag Ensignia washer is leaking water from the pump area of the washer. I've eliminated the drain hose and I've traced the leak up to the area of the plastic casing around what looks to be the...

Look for broken plastic casing of the pump. A hairline crack would also leak water. Check for proper fitting of flexible hoses to & from pump. Another thing is to check for loose filter cap. A loose filter cap or broken O ring of the filter cap can leak water.

Hey my 98 chevy cavalier runs great starts fine but when comes to stopping at a light or waiting in a drive thru it will shake and idle funny its like a putt it will still do it in N and Park only does...

Check for vacuum lines that have become disconnected or cracked. Check ignition wires. Check for fuel leaks. Check for dirty air filter or a clogged fuel filter. Check spark plugs for fouling and replace if needed. Check distributor cap for cracks. Check cap conductors inside the distributor cap, make sure they are clean. Good luck.

Water shoots out of the water filter housing when you try to get water out of door

The housing probably has a crack in it. If thats not the problem check the seal where the cap screws in. If thats fine check the cap itself for cracks. Please rate if this is helpfull

1995 gmc safari, just changed fuel pump, filter, even gas. still not getting fuel to the injectors. i know this by cracking the fuel line at top of engine. now what?

Try this. Check the fuel inertia switch. Should be locatedi n the rear in a pane, fuel tank side and not far from the fuel tank. If you have an owners manual, it's instructions are in there.l. Pull to reset. Good luck -Ned-

97 jetta with oil pouring out just above where the filter ataches

I have a 1997 jetta and have been through this. Go to the volkswagen dealer and have them pull up the oil cooler housing. You will see a gasket (o-ring) that seals the two pieces of this housing together. Buy that. Your old one has gotten brittle from years of extreme temperature swings and cracked ( it will be like hard plastic when you remove it.) Unscrew your filter, take a 27mm socket (prob need deep well) and unscrew the nut at the top of stud where the filter screws to. Take it all the way off and remove the old o-ring. Clean the area well and put your new oil swabbed o-ring in and reverse the above steps. 30 min 8 dollar fix. Good luck!
