My son just purchased a Wireless Guitar Frontman for Playstation 3 and he cannot get a connection. Can you help?

1. You need 3 other controllers besides the Nyko guitar (they can be the rockband instrument set, or just any PS3 controllers. I used a DS3 a RB guitar and GH3 guitar)
2. You need all 3 of the controllers assigned to the PS3 taking up spot 1-3 except the Nyko guitar (goal is to assign the Nyko to 4 or higher)
3. Plug in the Nyko dongle and attempt to link with the guitar (it will most likely make the Nyko button turn red which is the color that won't play)
4. Turn the switch on the dongle back and forth once or twice ending on GH setting letting the guitar link on it's own (It may not assign correctly on the first try, but keep switching between Rockband setting and GH setting. Always end on GH, because it will work with Rockband on GH setting)
5. After a few times it should link and allow you to play

Problem is the firmware of the PS3 (V3.10 or higher)

Tough problem. Could be the guitar, or the wireless reciever. Try plugging the guitar in via USB and see if it works. If not, try these steps.

1. First of all, make sure the batteries are in the guitar.
2. With your PlayStation 3 console powered off, insert the wireless receiver into an available USB connector on the console.
3. Press and hold the PS button on the guitar to turn it on.
4. Turn on your PlayStation 3 console.
5. Press the connect button on the wireless receiver (not the guitar). The status light will flash, indicating that the receiver is searching for the controller.
6. Press the PS button on the guitar to establish a connection with the receiver. (You may have to wait for the receiver to stop flashing so fast. I think it flashes real fast at first, but then slows down.)

Also, make sure the guitar is assigned as control port #1.

Another thing that may help. Unplug all your usb cords that recharge your headset or controllers. Make sure the USB connector is the only thing pluged in and in the furthest left slot. That is what i had to do.

Two Poss, Problems Problem: Guitar will not link to receiver.
Solution: To link the guitar and the receiver, please press the link button on the guitar to power it on, press the link button on the guitar again in conjunction with the link button on the receiver to activate the link between the receiver and the guitar. Lastly, once linked, press the link button on the guitar for a third time to lock in the controller/player assignment.
Problem: My FrontMan for PlayStation 3 is powered on and synced to the receiver, but I get no response from any of the buttons.
Solution: The latest firmware update of the PlayStation 3 (Version 3.10) is not compatible with the FrontMan for PS3. We are currently researching any possible solutions to fix this problem.

all you do is connect the receiver first then put in the batteries then press connect and on the side of the guitar press on
