Question about Maytag 24 in. MDBH950AWS Built-in Dishwasher
You need to remove the lower spray arm (the little plastic nut in the middle of the arm can be removed with a 3/8" nut driver), then the dome housing, then the impeller, then the entire cover. This gets you down to the motor where the chopper blade is at. There's probably something hard that's getting in the blade. If you don't find anything, you'll need to replace the motor and the seal kit, which includes the blade and the seal that does not come with the motor.

See my post about the MDBH950AWS problem I had with the food chopper/impeller adapter/shaft. I suggest you get in the bottom of the dishwasher and start removing screws, starting with removing both racks and then all the things on the bottom. You may have something hung in the food chopper or you may need to replace the adapter/motor shaft. (This is the same answer, but with an identification so you can find me easier.)

Usually answered in minutes!
water goes in the unit ok but when it starts the cycle the motor is making a loud vibrating noise like the bearings ane gone and it cuts out for a second or two every minute or so.
I got down to the dome cover and couldn't figure out how to get it off.
