Sceptre 17" monitor X7G-NAGA VI

Monitor is only a few months new (my previous monitor died) - and had no problems until now - I will be using computer and suddenly the screen turns a yellowish tint - the entire screen and later on it will go back to normal white - I've made no changes or updates recently to attribute to the change and don't know whether it is the monitor or my computer (video card?) causing the yellow tinted monitor screen. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be?

SOURCE: Sceptre X7G-Naga VI

My problem sounds equivelant: The problem is that it will power down after 15 minutes, then take 1/2 hour or more to power back up!I believe I have solved my problem with my X7G! I remember seeing a direction on the only direction papaer I got with it that told me to Turn off ALL POWER SAVING WINDOWS SETTINGS! I think the monitor is set to care for all the monitor/power saving itself. I am going to try it and will get back to you, or just try it yourselfs!

Cannot use the 5 push-bars on X7G-NagaV to reduce the pink (red in) the background. Do you have instructions for which button to push & the sequence? Thanks

Please check to make sure that the pins on both ends of the VGA cable are OK and seted properly on bothe ends.
There is no adjustment for color casting on the screen (redish, greenish, or bluish cast).
You may have problem in the monitor or the video card.

X7G shows video for 1 second then goes black, any replacement boards available?

Hate to tell you that replacing parts on a monitor would be very hard not only to find the parts but it would be very costly, I would recommend scrapping it and buy a 90$ refab off tiger direct or something, the only thing you can really fix on a monitor is perhaps a dead pixel, other than that its not worth it.

Sceptre X7G Naga VI dissaembly.

I have a bad power supply in mine as well. trick to opening it was popping off the silver caps on the base to remove the base. then using 2 bladed screwdrivers carefully pry the front plastic bezel off the back. there is no glue just locking tabs.

Monitor turned black

Check some of the other posts as it is probably just a bad capacitor or two and very easy to fix if you can do that sort of thing. I did and mine is back up and running.
