Re: dvd player dvg-5200s
You Need to go to walmart buy you a disk cleaner kit the wipes not the
Machine. Wipe each disk you put in and try to make it threw all of them,
Most important Go to Radio Shack or The Shack and purchase yourself a
CD/DVD Laser cleaner it is just like a DVD with cleaners on the one
side. You just put it in the machine and follow the steps.Remember to
rate my solution and give testimonial it is how i earn my achievements
Thanks in advance.

If the problem is in every movie you should try to clean the lance there are special kits for it.
If in some movies check if the DVD are not scratched.

HI:
Try unpluging the unit from AC outlet, and waiting for at least 5 min before plugin in back in this will reset the unit to do a hard reset. If problem persists then it is possible you now have power supply problem.
Sound like the disc is stopping inside the player this can happen when you push the tray into the player instead of using the eject/insert button. This can cause the tray to slip its guide plug on the rack and pinion tray release this will also cause tray blocked unknown disc errors, this will need to re-seated.
It is also caused by excess dust and finger grease inside of the player that can build up over a number of years I suggest that you first unplug and then remove the lid from the device give the plastic internals a clean with rubbing alcohol.
DONT TOUCH the record/play head or power up with the lid off.
There is a capacitor in the power supply that can go bad. It is an easy fix if you know how to solder and can get the part. Look for a cap that has a domed or split top.
pressing numbers does not work. you must use the up and down on the buttons on the circle around the enter button to move from item to item. whichever item is highlighted will be entered when you hit the enter/ok button. kind of like a poor mouse.
first try to clean the lens as if its not played very much a film of dust or grease ect ect can be on the lens. If that dosent work then your gonna have to clean the lens maually If you wanna take apart the unit you can then very carefully clean the little lens in slow circular motion BUT BE CAREFULL. if that dosent work the palyer may have went out of alighnment or the laser assy is defective. Good Luck
