Yes. If you disconnect the water line from the dishwasher you will see a screen inside the inlet to the water valve. This should be a Fix-Ya for your dishwasher. Thanks for the question.

I have a LG dishwasher that exhibits occasional groaning, 1E error and poor cleaning. Sometime it works fine but lately it's getting more common.

Since you have replaced the water inlet valve and still have the 1E error code, this leads me to believe that your water pressure could be too low.
1E error code means that your machine is not filling with enough water to operate correctly, so check the supply system completely and also the filters where the supply hose enters the machine.
The poor cleaning could be food clogging the lower filter screen, the groaning is the circulation pump cavitating.

Thermostat? LG Dishwasher Model: LDS5811WW

Hello Anonymous...

You hit on the reason ($$$$) I come here to contribute... Times are hard, money is scares... and my darling inhabitants are hurting...

Sometimes I can help not throw away a nearly perfect
(and faithful) appliance ... The ULTIMATE in recycling...
((Good for all of us... "inhabitants" (EARTH will be fine)).

((If you have ever seen our home from space...
It's a really pretty place. I'm not so worried for the place...
But there's a CERTAIN magic with these inhabitants...
If we pull together... It will be quite REWARDING)).

So...Thank you for ASKING.

I have a FREE manuals site where I start to read your
owner's manual... Better still... The Manufacturer also
prints "SERVICE MANUALS"...
several are shown... (don't go there yet)
ManualsLib Makes it easy to find manuals online

So being a MORE is BETTER GUY... I chose the one
that occupies the most memory....
and ran through the index 'til we got to trouble codes...

We are starting where your (pretty clever) sweetums found his
CODE clues... and we are going to look backwards..
To find "Thermostat"... (Found "thermistor").

Even if I am WRONG... You will now remember the secret handshake...& always know of the "MAGIC" of errors codes..
(which begin on your FREE page 36...

Although there is another "thermistor" error...
It is an over heat condition.. but it all for the entire PCB (printed control board) to be replaced
LG Dishwasher Main Control Board 6871DD1006Q

Code looks like an EE
with the top bar missing from the first "E"
(making it an inverted "F" (an important difference)...

~~

We are going with ""HE""

HE"(symptom: water is not being heated)
Code yields...
>> HEATER ERROR... (check/replace "thermistor")
LDS5811WW (et al): >> (click here))...
LG DF6810WW Service Manual Page 36

This enables us to search on-line parts houses,
(everybody sells pretty much the same parts... $$, Services & guaranteed fits are different ... (My personal experience SEARS folks a rude, pushy, abusive but make up for all that by their higher than average prices... (I used to be a KENMORE fan))...

SEARS says.. the code is "tE"...

and further states the control board must be replaced

Now I use appliancepartspros, partselect, repairclinic (etc.)...
Sites (with VIDEOS) that respond to an internet search on
"LDS5811WW + thermister"

No "THERMISTER" parts found
Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Sadly... Henry (SEARS) says the "thermister" is an integrated part of the HEATER... further adding "the part may be returned if it does not fix your trouble $54.03...ish
(SEARS = guaranteed fit).

Trouble removing the macerator from a lg lds5811ww for cleaning. Want to make certain no foreign objects stopping blade.

After removing lower rack and then the spray arm (pulling directly up and out), remove the (approximately) 12 silver screws from around the guard. Lift out to gain access to the lowest sump area.
Watch out for broken glass down there, it is sometimes almost invisible... and sharp!

We have an LG lds5811ww dishwasher with IE error

check for voltage at the water valve when it should be filling Try disconnecting the Water Valve outlet from the DishWasher and run the output into a bucket if all is well with the valve then remove the door panel and inspect the wires near the bottom of the door. the wires get buried in the tar like insulation causing the wires to break as the door is opened and closed. That tar like substance is one of the worst things they could of ever put into that machine causes the wires to break apart adn become brittle

It leaks from under the front door, escpecially when it gets to the rinse cycle. LG LDS5811WW

The Vent Kit behind the lower door panel, upper left corner has a rubber, solonoid stopper. Pressure from the spray arms overcome the rubber as the stopper hardens over time, allowing water to enter into the vent blower assembly. I found my replacement on Sears-Parts for $40 w/ shipping and just ordered it today. Be sure to turn off the breaker to the washer before removing the lower front door panel - 120vac in there, don't want no electricutions.

Water leaking from dishwasher lg model lds5811ww

The drain line is clean. Have you checked to make sure the the rest of the drain is clear all the way down to the main drain?. Also check the pump to make sure that it is working properly, it might be pumping water in, but it may not be wanting to pump the water out

I have a LG dishwasher model # LDS5811WW is there a filter of some sort at the water intake? My water has be known to have sand in it . The dishes are not all washing some are some aren't.

No filter in these units. It is possible that sand has gotten into the sump assembly and is not allowing the vario motor to properly switch between the upper and lower spray nozzles.
