Washer not turning on

I have a Whirlpool LA8100XWW1 that was working fine until yesterday afternoon. When it hit the rinse cycle, the machine stopped working. Now it intermittently will turn off, but you have to put it on a different cycle. The outlet is fine and the timer spins, but will not start it

Check the lid switch...sometimes the get loose on break and will could cause this type of problem

Maytag washer stopped working at the rinse cycle

do you have the machine set for cold water rinse? if so, the solenoid that allows the cold water to come into the machine may be malfunctioning. try to see if it will fill in the rinse cycle with hot water? if so, you need to change the water inlet valve.

My Washer LSB6300PW2 only fill no empty at spin I get nothing but more water at reset only I have been working all day trying to figure out what has happened over night. It was working fine and know just water. I turned it on to super load just to get a little extra water for washing okay. Went downstairs to put them in my new dryer I had to buy yesterday cuz the dryer broke. Help with ideas?
