I have a j1453 washing machine and im getting an error code 6e.what does this mean?

6e error mean heater not functioning. Check the heater element and if is bad change it. If the heater element is ok, check the connection to electronic board.

They usually stop with an unbalance load or If its a newer model and u use h.e detergent or suppose to be using it, and if u use it or another detergent to much , to heavy many newer washer have a suds sensor and when it detects to much detergent it will shut u down

if top loader then E6 is clutch error

The heater isnt getting hot and the heater element is showing as faulty, hence the 6E fault code on the control panel.

There will be no short term cure for this problem either, the cabinet will need to be partially dismantled so you can gain access to the heating element and test it with a multimeter for continuity (Full electrical circuit)

You will most likely have to replace a faulty heater element in this instance. The 6E shows up for this reason. The controller has sent power to the element, but it hasnt heated at all according to the thermostat which measures the temperature (Seperate fault code for thermostat problems)

6e fault is saying that the temperature is not high enough, this is most likely a malfunctioning temperature sensor or an issue inside the electronics.

If during the spin cycle, the error code could be an error with the printed circuit board assembly of the washer. This means that the temperature readings are incorrect and the error will continue to display.

E6 error code indicates that the water heater is heating water too fast. Press the power button once to clear the error and finish the cycle before repair.

Had a same fault code and also sometimes had the reverse kept filling - soultion was that the small flexible pipe up to the pressure sensor had a crack (fatigue mahine was only 1.5 years old) in it next to the sensor - found it by sucking and blowing down the pipe while it was not connected to the sensor (with the electric off ) - Replacment pipe can be found at any good local washing machine parts shop/store
