Potential Causes
• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor ControlUnit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness
I also had the very same problem with my Whirlpool front loader. This is a common problem and if you have this less then one year they should replace the parts for free. The reason I said parts is because they also had to replace the entire tub and some other parts as well. It took then almost three hours. Thank goodness I have an extended warrentee which I think you shouls also consider.
Whirlpool is a very reliable company and after reading what Ashley sent to you I don't think your going to have any problems.
I just want to mention something to you. If the washer makes noise it could be something else like a clogger drain pump which is easily serviced. The way to tell is to have the washer off and try spinning the tub with your hand if it makes noise then your up for the whole monti.
