take it to an appliance repair shop for a diagnosis and quote for repairs
could be a simple motor problem or could be more costly
any way the quote will show you to repair or replace with a new model
The problem was something was pushing against the door from the inside.
Solution, if you can tip the safe back so the contents shift, if not push and try unlocking, or hit the door in hopes it will agian shift the contents enough to unlock.
I think I can guess what the problem is - exactly the problem I made with my roomba when it was new: I didn't realise that the bearing came off the end. Is the end of your brush assembly yellow? If so, it pulls off. I'm going to take a flier and guess that you didn't know that, and your bearing is jammed up with hair. This is what the bearings look like:
This is most probably due to a worn out or clogged Control Valve Assembly. Detach the hose and see if it runs. If it does, place hand over hole. If it shuts off, CVA is probably the cause. A clogged CVA is generally due to using generic/made-to-fit bags. Genuine bags have "Home Solutions" printed on them. You can try turning the dial all the way to the large dot, then try to run the vacuum. If it is the CVA, you'll need to take it to an authorized Aerus Electrolux store and have their service tech repair or replace the part. I recommend a service and clean of the vacuum at the same time. This will extend the life of the vacuum.
This is a common on some of the reviews I have read. The wires tend to break and sometimes wires get pulled from the motor itself. Problem - Vacuum doesn't go on at all. Solution - You have some sort of electrical problem. Proceed to the section on 'Finding Electrical Problems in Canisters' if you have a canister, or 'Finding Electrical Problems in Uprights' if you have an upright...
I had the same problem. try plugging in & pulling cord out of
rewind a number of times. if motor goes on, you need repair on cord
winder. per miele tech-"not common prob.", but repairman said "yes,
common prob." good luck.
This is a bot of a blind guess, I don't know the model. But most power head cleaners I have worked on use the suction of the vaccuum to spin a turbo fan in the head (like blowing a child's windmill). The head not spinning is usually because there's not enough **** to spin the turbo fan. Check for:
Gummed up brush bearings (dirt or damp) making the brush harder to turn than it should be.
Poor suction caused by a blocked or partially blocked pipe.
An obstruction that is tactchin the beater or the turbo fan.
Blocked filters on the cleaner, reducing the **** and thereby not providing enough vaccuum to spin the beater.
